(AT THE UCHIHA HOUSE)

RAVEN: Hey dad. I’m going to leave here a bit earlier than usual. Okay?

SASUKE: Why?

RAVEN: Well me Marrette and Nika is going to be hanging out before the test and everything.

SASUKE: Just don’t miss the test. You’ll finally graduate this year.

RAVEN: I know.

SAKURA: Yeah if you miss that test I’ll get you

RAVEN: Now that scares me. Night.

SASUKE: Night. (AFTER RAVEN GOES TO BED.) Hey Sakura do you think it’s weird that when the three of us were kids we were inseparable and now Raven’s the same with Nika?

SAKURA: Yeah it’s kind of funny when you think about it.

SASUKE: That’s for sure. You know I think that Raven actually likes Nika. And I don’t mean as just friends.

SAKURA: Oh? How cute he has a little crush.

SASUKE: You didn’t seem to think it was so little when we were kids. In fact I’m surprised you and Ino didn’t kill one another over me.

SAKURA: Um… yeah (BLUSHED AND LOOKS AWAY) that’s being a kid for ya.

SASUKE: I know. Well I’m going to bed I have to be at the school early to help with the registering the new squads. You know to see who goes on whose team.

SAKURA: Alright then, good night Sasuke

(THE NEXT DAY NIKA WAS WAITING AT THE PARJ WNTRANCE FOR RAVEN AND MARRETTE WHEN AZARIAH WALKED BY)

NIKA: Hey Azariah

AZARIAH: Hi… Nika

NIKA: Hey I’m not mad about what you said yesterday

AZARIAH: You aren’t? I thought you would be though

NIKA: No Azariah like I said yesterday it just something that is. It’s not my fault I’m Jinchuriki. I know you didn’t mean to say that.

(RAVEN AND MARRETTE WALKED AROUND THE CORNER AND SAW NIKA TALKING WITH AZARIAH AND MARRETTE PUSHED RAVEN BEHIND A TREE.)

RAVEN: Ow what was that for?

MARRETTE: Shoos!

NIKA: I mean you know just as well the pain I went through before I met you Raven and Marrette. That’s why I know you didn’t mean it.

AZARIAH: Alright then, I just wanted to make sure I didn’t bother you with what I said.

NIKA: If it had bothered me I would have told you. there was another reason I was down yesterday.

AZARIAH: Really? What was up?

NIKA: First guys I know you’re there.

RAVEN: We didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Marrette pushed me.

MARRETTE:*falls over* Dahh! .... How’d you know we were here Nika?

NIKA: Koturo. Anyway Azraiah, yester was the day my parents died sealing the wolf tailed beast in me.

AZARIAH: Oh … Sorry to hear

MARRETTE: So that’s why you we so down?

NIKA: Partly. Look I’m going on to the school see you there. (NIKA LEAVES AND MARRETTE GOES TO FOLLOWS HER WHEN RAVEN GRABBS HER ARM)

RAVEN: Don’t follow. Not Now.

MARRETTE: …. Alright, won’t

RAVEN: (DROPS HER ARM AND LOOKS OVER THE VILLAGE. THEN SIGHES) It’s always the same every year. I wish I knew how to help her.

MARRETTE: Sometimes we can’t help people we care about

RAVEN: I Know. Do you know why she was so down yesterday?

AZARIAH: Her parents’ death… I believe that was the reason

RAVEN: It’s not just that. Yesterday was her birthday and her parents died that day. That’s why I stopped you from following her Marrette

MARRETTE: Well I feel as if I can’t stand around doing nothing.

RAVEN: Yeah I know. I’m going on a head. Sorry Marrette Azariah.

MARRETTE: It’s okay…. Just go ahead and go.

RAVEN: Thanks Marrette (RAVEN RUNS AFTER NIKA AFTER LEAVING AZARIAH CONFUSED)

AZARIAH: …..? I….. What?

MARRETTE: Shoosh you. just don’t say anything.

(NIKA SAT AT HER DESK THINKING ABOUT HER PARENT  BOTH REAL AND ADOPTED WHEN RAVEN WALKED UP TO HER SEEING THAT SHE WAS CRYING, PLACED HIS ARM AROUND HER.)

RAVEN: Hey it’s okay.

NIKA: Thanks Raven

RAVEN: Nika I’ll always be there for you.

NIKA: Thanks Raven that means a lot to me.

RAVEN: You mean a lot to me Nika (BLUSHES) you know as a friend

NIKA: (SMILES AS AZARIAH AND MARRETTE WALK IN) You mean a lot to me too.

RAVEN: (BLUSHES AGAIN) A0anyway ready for the test Azariah Marrette?

AZARIAH: Yeah. But man I feel nervous!

NIKA: Why? It’s real simple

MARRETTE: I can’t wait to get this over with

AZARIAH: Just because

RAVEN: Yeah maybe for you Nika. Dad will kill me if I don’t pass

NIKA: Raven you’ll be fine. You guys too.

MARRETTE: Oh I know but I really hate tests.

NIKA LAUGHS) yeah I’m not either.

RAVEN: Please you’re like a genius when it comes to this stuff

AZARIAH: Yeah well let’s just hope for the best.

NIKA: Sorry guys. Iruka-Sensei said we were doing the test individually and in separate rooms

MARRETTE: Cool with me, but what about Mr. Nervous here?”

AZARIAH: S-Shut up. I’m fine!

NIKA: Azariah you’ll be fine. Oh and if what I’ve heard is true then maybe all four of us are going to be on the same team.

RAVEN: I hope so what about you guys?

MARRETTE: Sounds awesome!

AZARIAH: Yeah I wouldn’t mind it.

NIKA: I wonder… probably not though

RAVEN: What?

NIKA: It’s nothing

MARRETTE: You never know, could happen

NIKA: you don’t know what I mean do you Marrette?

MARRETTE: Not a clue (SMILES WIDELY)

NIKA: You know what we were talking about last night with Sensei

MARRETTE: I forgot. (CONTINUES TO SMILE)

NIKA: Wow I knew you were an air head but this is wow. My dad

MARRETTE: What… What I do?

NIKA: (IRUKA WALKS IN AND STARTS TO SEPARATE EVERYONE) Never mind
